Ganesha

This beautiful bronze sculpture is located in the Glyptotek Museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. Ganesha was the son of Shiva and his consort, and is depicted as an elephant in which each body part has symbolic significance. The powerful figure of Ganesha is the epitome of unshakeable stability and resolve. The sculpture is derived from tantric teachings and balances the male and female principles. In Hindu mythology, Ganesha is considered the remover of all obstacles through the perfect balance of male and female energy, which generates an elixir or drop of ambrosia which allows participants to realize their divinity and immortality.
